Body | I haven't posted in a while, but there's a good reason: I've been finishing up a cd. One of mylong-time gigs has been as the music director for the Contemporary Choir at St. Luke's Church in Barrington, and we've been working on a holiday disc that will be available on December 14. There are seven songs - six are traditional hymns like "Angels We Have Heard On High" and "What Child Is This", but we've arranged them OUR way;that is to say, like a rock band. The last song, "Rejoice Tonight",is an original that was written just for this cd. I'm really proud of this recording, and of the fundraising we hope to accomplish with it. St. Mary of the Assumption is a church in New Orleans that was damaged badly by Hurricane Katrina. They've been rebuilding for thepast year but have not had the money to fix their nearly 150-year-old pipe organ, so we'll be donating the profits from the cd to St.Mary's to help them get the repairs started.
