Longtime New England resident David (DJ) Lauria has been a part of the regional music scene for decades, as a teacher, composer, bandleader and sideman. As leader of the D. J. Lauria Band, he wrote and released some of the best power/pop of the 90s, while also working as a session guitarist and playing Lindsey Buckingham in Rumours, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac. He was the long-time contemporary choir director at St. Luke’s Church in Barrington, RI, and wrote and produced several albums with the CCM group Listen Above. Currently, he leads the George Harrison tribute, By George! and gigs around New England with the venerable Topaz. During the day, he is the choral director at Mt. Hope HS in Bristol, RI, where he and his students make music under the Mt. Hope Music banner.
